BambooHR pricing in the UK
BambooHR does publish its prices, which puts it ahead of most rivals. The catch for a UK buyer is that they are in dollars - and that below 26 people the per-employee rate is not what you pay.
BambooHR publishes real per-employee prices, which is more than most of its rivals manage - but only in US dollars, and with a flat rate below 25 employees that changes the maths for small UK teams. Core is $10 per employee per month, Pro $17 and Elite $25. At 25 employees or fewer you are priced at a monthly flat rate rather than per head, starting at $250, so headcount stops being the thing that moves your bill (bamboohr.com, re-checked 5 October 2026, dollar prices unchanged since August).

BambooHR also states automatic volume discounts as headcount rises, a 15% bundle discount for combining payroll and benefits administration, and a further 15% for registered nonprofits. Their own footnote limits the bundle discount to employees based in the US, so it is not one a UK-only employer can take.
Three things a UK buyer should notice
There is no per-plan GBP price list. BambooHR's UK page now gives a sterling starting point - "BambooHR plans start at just £8.10/mo per employee", with a flat rate "starting at £200/mo" for 25 employees or fewer - but each plan's sterling price is behind a "Get Quote" button, and the full tier prices appear only on the US page in dollars. That does not make BambooHR expensive, but it does mean the number you budget is not the number you pay every month, and a 5% currency move is a 5% price rise you did not agree to. Ask for a GBP-denominated quote before you compare.
BambooHR's own wording is a monthly flat rate starting at $250, so $250 is the floor rather than the whole answer: a team of 8 pays at least $250 and a team of 25 pays at least $250 - about $31 a head at 8 people, and $10 at 25. If you are a small team, the headline "$10 per employee" is not your price, and the flat rate is worth confirming for the plan you actually want. This is the single most common misreading of BambooHR's pricing.
Payroll and benefits administration are marked as US-employee only. A UK buyer comparing a bundled quote should check line by line which modules actually apply, or the comparison flatters whichever product includes more that you can use.

How to compare the two fairly
- Convert at today's rate, then add the spread your bank charges. Compare in one currency.
- Price your real headcount, not the tier. At 25 people or fewer, ask for the flat rate on the plan you want - it starts at $250, not $10 × staff.
- Strike out modules that are US-only before you total anything.
- Ask both vendors what the renewal rate is. A first-year discount is not a price.
