CharlieHR pricing

The full published headcount table, what Recruit and Advice add, and where each of us is genuinely the cheaper answer.

In short

CharlieHR is priced by team-size band, from £45 a month for 5-14 people and £105 for 15-29. Core HR, onboarding, time off, performance reviews and engagement are all in the base price - which makes it a closer structural match to CoDash than most. The divergence is at the extremes: Charlie is cheaper for very small teams, and its recruitment and advice modules are priced separately.

Prices checked 9 August 2026 against CharlieHR's own pricing page (charliehr.com). Vendor pricing changes without notice - always confirm there before deciding. All figures exclude VAT.

What costs extra on CharlieHR?

  • Charlie Recruit - applicant tracking, interview scheduling, eSignature contracts, blind hiring, a careers site.
  • Charlie Advice - unlimited HR support, compliance checks, a personalised handbook and annual policy reviews.

Both scale with headcount, which the "from" prices hide - so here is what they actually cost at each band:

At 100 people that is £420 for Charlie, £100 for Recruit and £499 for Advice - just over £1,000 a month for the full set, which is a different conversation from the £45 headline.

Neither can be bought standalone. Charlie Advice is worth understanding properly before comparing: it isn't software, it's access to HR advisers - which is a genuinely different thing to buy, and for a company with no HR person it may be the most valuable line on the invoice.

CharlieHR vs CoDash: the honest comparison

Monthly cost by team size, excluding VAT and add-ons.
Team sizeCharlieHRCoDash Starter
10 people£45£99
20 people£105£139
30 people£180£179
50 people£315£259
100 people£420£459

Charlie is meaningfully cheaper under about 25 people; the two converge around 30; CoDash is cheaper through the middle. Add recruitment and the picture shifts again - Charlie Recruit is £55+ on top, while hiring is included in CoDash's base price. If you'd want Charlie Advice, add that too, and compare it against what you'd otherwise pay an HR consultant.

What else differs?

  • Attendance and overtime. CoDash includes clock-in, rotas, timesheets, overtime and TOIL as standard - the sort of thing shift-based teams need and pure people-platforms often don't cover.
  • Anonymous voice with k-anonymity enforced in code - no author column at all, and manager-facing aggregates gated behind a minimum group size.
  • UK statutory depth - Employment Rights Act 2026-27 leave types, the statutory flexible working workflow, right-to-work tracking (see our compliance page).
  • Charlie's polish and perks. Charlie is a well-designed product with an established perks marketplace and a strong reputation among London startups - if that's your world, it's a serious contender.
